Qingdao University (QU), established in 1909 and located in Qingdao, China, is a distinguished institution blending rich local culture with modern education. It has evolved through mergers with several colleges and now ranks among the top universities in Shandong Province, as well as being listed among the top 100 Chinese universities.

The university offers a wide range of programs across 34 colleges and the Faculty of Medicine, including 79 undergraduate programs and numerous postgraduate options. QU has a strong international presence, with over 200 exchange projects with universities in about 30 countries and a variety of scholarships available for international students.

QU provides extensive Chinese language programs, including undergraduate and dual-degree options, as well as a master’s program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Entry Requirements:

1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, in good health, and have no criminal record. The age requirements are as follows: 18-30 for bachelor’s programs, 18-35 for master’s programs, and 18-40 for PhD programs.

  1. Educational Background: Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent for bachelor’s programs, a bachelor’s degree for master’s programs, and a Master’s degree for PhD programs.

Application Material:

  1. Reference Letter from High School
  2. Certified Copy of High School Diploma (If the diploma is in a language other than Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized.)
  3. Passport Photo (A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant.)
  4. Certified Copy of High School Transcripts (If the transcripts are in a language other than Chinese or English, they must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized.)
  5. Photocopy of Passport (Must include name, passport number, expiration date, and photo. The passport must be an ordinary passport and valid for at least six months. Applicants residing in China must include a copy of the page with a valid visa or residence permit.)
  6. Certificate of Non-criminal Record (Issued by the local police station with an official stamp.)
  7. English Proficiency Test Certificate (Original or notarized copy in Chinese or English.)

  8. Examination Report (Complete all required items at a hospital, including personal information, photo, checkup date, doctor’s suggestions, and signature.)
  9. Letter of Guardian’s Authorization (For applicants under 18)
  10. Certificate of Good Conduct (Provided by the current or previous school/company in Chinese or English to enhance the success rate.)
  11. For master’s and PhD Programs (Research proposal (minimum 1000 words)
  12. Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (with valid signature and date).
Eligibility:
  1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
  2. For a bachelor’s program, applicants should have a high school diploma or its equivalent. For a master’s program, a bachelor’s degree is required. PhD applicants must hold a master’s degree.
MBBS Program
Starting Date: October 20th every year.
Bachelor, Master & PhD Programs
Starting Date: September 1, every year.

Duration:

Clinical Medicine (MBBS): 6 Years (1+5)
Master’s Programs: 3 Years
PhD Programs: 4 Years

Application Deadline: June 10th,every year.

Important Note

  1. Students are responsible for covering their own meal expenses.
  2. Meal options include dining at restaurants (Muslim restaurants are available) or the campus canteen (with a Muslim canteen).
  3. Students may also choose to cook for themselves or opt for other preferred arrangements.
  4. The estimated monthly living cost, including accommodation and daily expenses, is approximately 1,000 RMB.
