ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Binzhou Medical University (BMU) is a public provincial university of applied sciences in Shandong Province, China. It was originally established as the Medical School of National Shandong University in 1946 and became Qingdao Medical College in 1956. It was renamed Beizhen Medical College in 1981 before adopting its current name in 1983. BMU, which became the main campus in Yantai in 2002, excels in medicine, science, engineering, management, and education, with a focus on medical disciplines and higher education for the disabled.

BMU enrolls over 17,451 students, including undergraduates and postgraduates, with 241 international students. It comprises 16 schools covering diverse fields such as clinical medicine, basic medical sciences, special education, and international studies. The university has developed a “Two Advantages and Two Features” model, highlighting its strengths in clinical medicine and pharmacy, and its unique programs in education for the disabled and rehabilitation medicine. BMU has pioneered medical education for disabled students in China and continues to advance rehabilitation medicine.

The university maintains high educational standards with 13 national first-class courses and multiple provincial teaching awards. BMU offers 32 undergraduate programs and six master’s degree disciplines, with strong performance in clinical medicine, pharmacy, and chemistry. It is noted for its extensive research, including over 1,600 projects and numerous published papers and patents.

BMU’s facilities include two campuses, a large library, and several teaching hospitals. It maintains collaborations with international and domestic institutions, enhancing educational and research opportunities.

9. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (must be complete and valid)
10. Non-fresh graduates: working certificate and recommendation letters
11. English proficiency certificates (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 70)

Eligibility:
  1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
  2. For a bachelor’s program, applicants should have a high school diploma or its equivalent. For a master’s program, a bachelor’s degree is required. PhD applicants must hold a master’s degree.
