Shihezi University, established in 1996, is rooted in the legacy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s First Corps Health School, founded in 1949. Over the years, the university has grown through the integration of several institutions, including Shihezi Medical College, Shihezi Agricultural College, Corps Economic College, and Corps Normal College.

Recognized as a key university in national and regional development, Shihezi University was included in several prestigious projects, such as the “211 Project” in 2008 and the national “Double First-Class” initiative in 2017 and 2022. The university’s mission is centered on serving Xinjiang and the broader Central Asia region, with a strong focus on education, scientific research, and innovation.

Shihezi University boasts 11 major disciplines, offering 99 undergraduate majors, 9 doctoral programs, and numerous master’s programs. Seven of its disciplines rank in the top 1% worldwide in the ESI rankings, reflecting its excellence in research and academic achievements. Entry Requirements

  1. Eligibility: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens between the ages of 18 and 30, in good health, and have no criminal record.
  2. Educational Background: Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Application Materials

  1. Certified Copy of High School Diploma

If the diploma is in a language other than Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized.

  1. Passport Photo

A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant.

  1. Certified Copy of High School Transcripts

If the transcripts are in a language other than Chinese or English, they must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized.

  1. Photocopy of Passport

Must include name, passport number, expiration date, and photo. The passport must be an ordinary passport and valid for at least six months. Applicants residing in China must include a copy of the page with a valid visa or residence permit.

  1. Certificate of Non-criminal Record

Issued by the local police station with an official stamp.

  1. Physical Examination Report

Complete all required items at a hospital, including personal information, photo, checkup date, doctor’s suggestions, and signature.

  1. Letter of Guardian’s Authorization (For applicants under 18)
